Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 lb. linguine, cooked al dente
  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion, sliced (optional)

Marinade

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon thick soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon thin soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Sauce

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons thin soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix together the marinade and combine with chicken in a ziplock bag, making sure to rub it in. Marinate for at least 2 hours
  2. Line a baking tray with foil and bake the chicken at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes, reserving the marinade
  3. Baste the chicken with the remaining marinade and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Broil at 450 degrees F for 8 minutes until browned. Cut the chicken into slices
  4. Mix together the sauce ingredients and combine with the linguine, tossing to coat well
  5. Dish the noodles, arrange the chicken on it and serve hot, garnished with green onions

Well I’d always go for egg noodles if I can but it’s so hard to get them fresh and I don’t like mucking about with the frozen ones. Sub whatever type of noodles you like, I just happen to like the texture of linguini 🙂
