Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb. spaghetti, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups marinara sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • Parmesan cheese for serving
  • Parsley for serving

Meatballs:

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup dry Parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mozzarella, cubed

Instructions

Meatballs:

  1. Combine all the meatballs ingredients in a mixing bowl except for the mozzarella cheese and mix together with your hands
  2. Divide mixture into two. Form two giant meatballs
  3. Insert a cube of mozzarella cheese into the center of each meatball
  4. Pack meatballs back into shape firmly and smooth any cracks
  5. Bake at 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees
  6. Remove and allow to cool on a cooling rack

Pasta:

  1. Over medium high heat, heat up or make your favorite marinara sauce in a wide saucepan
  2. Carefully add meatballs to the sauce, spooning some of the sauce on top
  3. Dish the spaghetti and place each meatball on top
  4. Ladle with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley
  5. Serve hot
