Greek Spinach Dip

Units Scale
  • 12 oz. spinach
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 shallot, sliced thinly
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, saute shallots, green onions and garlic in some oil until fragrant.
  2. Add spinach and stir until spinach cooks down, about 2 minutes.
  3. Blend the spinach mixture into a rough puree in a food processor or blender. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
  4. Add lemon juice, yogurt, feta cheese, dill, nutmeg and salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.
  5. Dish and enjoy.
