A no fuss recipe for slow cooker BBQ pulled chicken. It’s literally set and forget until it’s time to eat. Serve with coleslaw, pickles and chips!

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/4 cups BBQ sauce (I used Sweet Baby Rays)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne

Instructions

  1. Arrange chicken breasts in the bottom of a 6 qt. slow cooker
  2. Combine all other ingredients to form a thick sauce. Pour over chicken breasts
  3. Cook chicken on high for 3-4 hours or low for 7-8 hours
  4. Shred the chicken on a cutting board with two forks
  5. Stir to mix sauce in slow cooker and add gradually to pulled chicken until you’ve reached your desired sauciness
  6. Dish and serve hot over buns
