Slow Cooker Balsamic Roast

Ingredients

  • 23 lb. beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Season the meat with salt and pepper and sear over medium high heat until browned on both sides
  2. Transfer the meat to a slow cooker
  3. Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over the meat
  4. Cover and cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low
  5. Once cooked, remove the roast and shred with two forks. Discard and remove any fatty bits
  6. Dish and serve hot with gravy
