Ginger Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. beef cut into thin strips
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1” nob of ginger, peeled and cut into matchsticks
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 green onions, sliced diagonally into 1” pieces

Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons thin soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Combine the marinade ingredients and marinate with beef slices for 30 minutes
  2. Over medium high heat, saute garlic and ginger until fragrant
  3. Toss in the marinated beef and stir to combine, sauteing until beef is cooked on both sides, about 1 minute
  4. Pour in the cornstarch slurry and mix until the sauce thickens
  5. Pour in sesame oil and toss to combine
  6. Toss in green onions and stir to mix for 1 minute
  7. Dish and serve hot
