Baked Honey Soy Salmon

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless salmon fillets
  • 2 shallots, sliced thinly
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, sliced diagonally into 1” pieces

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons thick soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar

Garnish

  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1/4 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Mix together the sauce ingredients until the sugar dissolves
  2. Cut out enough tin foil to wrap up each salmon steak and spray with cooking oil
  3. Place salmon in the foil and brush generously with sauce on both sides
  4. Arrange shallots, ginger, garlic and green onions on the salmon
  5. Pour the remaining sauce over the salmon and seal up the foil into a loose tent
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes
  7. Dish and garnish with lime wedges and toasted sesame seeds
