Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb. beef tenderloin or flank, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced

Marinade:

  • 1/2 tablespoon thin soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon thin soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef for 30 minutes
  2. Over medium high heat, boil some water with a little salt
  3. Blanch the broccoli for 30 seconds to 1 minute until it turns bright green. Drain and set aside
  4. In a wok over medium high heat, saute ginger and garlic until fragrant
  5. Add in the strips of beef and stir-fry until beef is browned
  6. Deglaze the wok then add in light soy sauce, oyster sauce and brown sugar, stirring to combine
  7. Add the cooked broccoli and stir to mix well for 30 seconds
  8. Remove from heat and pour in sesame oil, mixing thoroughly
  9. Dish and serve hot
